Educational Objectives:
This two day course of clinical based lectures and interactive case based discussion addressing all areas of Spinal Imaging (except Trauma) serves as a focus to facilitate problem solving in the spine, utilising the various imaging modalities and their application in a number of pathological scenarios.
Day 1 focuses on the basic spinal pathologies encountered in everyday practice while Day 2 deals with more specialised topics. Each session consists of four lectures delivered by Musculoskeletal Radiologists following by an interactive case based session with dedicated film reading and discussion.
Target Audience:
SpRs and DGH Consultants in Radiology. This may also be of interest to SpRs and Consultants in Orthopaedics.
Topics covered include:
Normal variants in spinal imaging; Degenerative disc disease; Spinal infection; Non-infective inflammatory disease; Spinal tumours; Marrow disease; Scoliosis; Sports and overuse injuries in the young; Vertebral collapse - benign versus malignant; Spinal stenosis; Spinal intervention.
Awarded 13 Cat 1 CME points by the Royal College of Radiologists
ESSR Diploma Accreditation1 point Cat. 2
The cost is £150 for one day or £295 for 2 days - to include lunch, refreshments and course dinner (Wednesday 10th)
