AAOS Update: Large Randomized Trial Confirms Value of PRP for Chronic Tennis Elbow
The AAOS has been a very busy meeting. Interest in biologic orthopedic solutions is rising rapidly. The first BOS Happy Hour was a small but successful event. Many thanks to all the experts in attendance.
Yesterday, the largest study to date on PRP was presented at AAOS. The data showed an 84% success rate using PRP compared to a 68% using an active control at six months. (P = 0.012) The PRP patients also had much less elbow tenderness compared to controls at that time frame. Only 29% of PRP patients had significant tenderness compared to 54% in the control group (P < 0.001) For details visit: http://www.bloodcure.com
